1938 AL Standings

June 15, 1938

The 1938 season is halfway through the month of June and the Detroit Tigers are still in 1st place in the AL. The New York Yankees have gotten on a roll the past month and are now in 2nd place, 2.5 games behind the league leaders. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Cleveland Indians have been having a tough time of it the past month and are under .500, 9 games behind the Tigers.
Despite retaining the top spot in the AL standings, Detroit has been having issues winning games at home. They have the best road record of any team in the AL and if they could put together a winning record playing in Briggs Stadium, Detroit will be a team to reckon with the entire season.
