The 1938 AL season heads into August with the Detroit Tigers, led by Hank Greenberg, still in 1st place. Greenberg has been nothing short of phenomenal this season. He's destined to shatter Babe Ruth's record of 60 HR and has a good shot at setting a new RBI record. Boston's Jimmy Foxx is having a season for the ages himself, he's 2nd in all 3 of the top hitting categories. New York's Lefty Gomez and Cleveland's Bob Feller have been the top pitchers in the league up to this point.
