1938 AL Standings

My Detroit Tigers continue to play WAY above their actual record in 1938 and have a 9.5 game lead over 2nd place Washington. Meanwhile, New York, Cleveland, and Boston continue to play well below their actual record in '38. There's still a long way to go in the season but it looks as if Detroit would have to have a major collapse to not win the AL pennant. The Tigers have scored 611 runs, 110 more than the next highest scoring team, the Washington Senators. Their pitching has been mediocre but if you can score an average of 6.64 runs per game, mediocre may be just good enough.
